RNA interference (RNAi) is a naturally occurring phenomenon in living organisms that suppresses the expression of specific genes. When double-stranded RNA (dsRNA) homologous to the coding region of an endogenous mRNA is introduced into a cell, that mRNA is degraded, leading to gene silencing. Following the entry of exogenous dsRNA into the cell, its complementary strand—along with various nucleases—forms a silencing complex known as the RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC). RISC mediates RNA interference by binding to and cleaving target mRNAs.

Carrier Selection (Partial)
The choice of viral vector should be guided by experimental requirements, with options including lentivirus, adeno-associated virus, adenovirus, and retrovirus.

Service Overview
Based on the target gene provided by the customer, three siRNA target sites are designed for that gene, and these targets are then cloned into the appropriate vector. For viral vectors, the packaged viral particles can be directly used to infect cells or for in vivo animal experiments.
