Suspension cells are more difficult to stain than adherent cells. For adherent cells, adding CCK‑8 and incubating for 1–4 hours typically yields a high absorbance; however, suspension cells may exhibit lower absorbance. This can be addressed by extending the CCK‑8 incubation time or increasing the cell density.
