When performing live-cell assays, how many cells should be seeded per well?

When using a standard 96-well plate, the minimum seeding density for adherent cells is at least 1,000 cells per well (in 100 μL of culture medium). For assays involving leukocytes, the sensitivity is relatively low; therefore, a seeding density of no less than 2,500 cells per well (in 100 μL of culture medium) is recommended.
