When using lentivirus cryopreservation solution, is it necessary to aliquot and store it?
Publication date:2026-10-29
Page views:
To prevent repeated freeze–thaw cycles that can reduce viral titer, it is recommended to aliquot the virus prior to use. During aliquoting, ensure all steps are performed on ice in a sterile environment. Aliquot volumes should be determined based on the amount of virus required for each experiment; avoid under‑aliquoting, with a minimum volume of 10 µL suggested. If the aliquots will be used within a short timeframe, they may be temporarily stored at 4°C (to be used within one week); any remaining stock should be immediately transferred to −80°C after aliquoting.
