Product Description
Cellular crude extracts contain numerous endogenous enzymes, such as phosphatases and proteases, which can degrade and modify the proteins in the extract. The most effective way to maximize the yield of intact proteins is to add inhibitors of these enzymes.
This protease inhibitor cocktail has been optimized and validated for use with mammalian cell and tissue extracts. It contains broad‑specificity inhibitors targeting serine, cysteine, acidic, and aminopeptidases. The mixture is supplied as a ready‑to‑use DMSO solution. Crystallization may occur; if crystals are present, vortex thoroughly before adding to the appropriate assay buffer.
This product is a colorless to pale yellow liquid. Li’s protease inhibitor cocktail remains unfrozen at −20°C, making it more convenient to use.
