Product Description
Balanced Salt Solution (BSS), also known as Physiological Solution, combines the buffering capacity of a buffer, the isotonicity of saline, and the nutritional support characteristics of culture media. It maintains osmotic pressure, stabilizes pH, and provides basic nutrients, thereby meeting the fundamental requirements for the survival and metabolism of tissues, organs, or cells in in vitro experiments.
10X PBS (sterile), or 10× concentrated phosphate-buffered saline, is a widely used balanced salt solution in biological and biochemical research. When diluted to 1X PBS, it can be employed for washing tissue blocks, rinsing cells, preparing other reagents, and serving as an alternative medium for cell counting, among other applications.
