    PC-3 (Chinese name: human prostate cancer cells) was derived from a bone metastasis of a 62-year-old Caucasian male with stage IV prostate cancer. PC-3 cells exhibit low activities of both acid phosphatase and 5α‑reductase.

    The cells exhibit a typical epithelial morphology and grow adherently. Species: Human; tissue origin: prostate, bone metastases from adenocarcinoma; tumor type: prostate cancer cells.
