  • Product Description

    DNA loading buffer (6X) primarily contains glycerol, EDTA, SDS, Orange G, and Xylene Cyanol FF. Glycerol increases the sample’s density, making it heavier than the TAE buffer so that it settles into the wells, preventing it from migrating out of the wells. SDS mainly serves to denature polymerase; residual polymerase can bind to DNA double strands and interfere with its migration rate. The dyes Orange G and Xylene Cyanol FF act as tracking markers, indicating the progress of electrophoresis so that we can stop the run at the appropriate time.
