Product Description
Balanced Salt Solution (BSS) maintains environmental conditions—such as pH and osmotic pressure—that are consistent with those under normal cell growth. It helps sustain osmotic balance, regulate acid–base homeostasis, and provide the energy and essential inorganic ions required for cellular survival and metabolism, thereby meeting the basic needs of cells in in vitro experiments to remain viable and maintain a certain level of metabolic activity.
PBS (phosphate-buffered solution) is a phosphate buffer that provides a relatively stable ionic environment and pH‑buffering capacity, making it a commonly used buffered salt solution in biology. Its pH is typically 7.2–7.4, and its main components are disodium hydrogen phosphate and sodium dihydrogen phosphate; it does not contain calcium. 2+ , Mg 2+ , commonly used in molecular cloning, immunohistochemistry, and other routine applications. For sterile preparations, it is recommended to filter‑sterilize using a 0.22 μm filter.
This product is supplied in powder form; for experiments, simply dissolve it in deionized water. After dilution, the pH is 7.2–7.4. It is easy to handle and convenient to use.
