    The endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is an organelle found in eukaryotic cells, consisting of an interconnected network of flattened, membrane‑bound sacs—known as cisternae—or tubular structures. The ER membrane is continuous with the outer nuclear membrane, and it is present in most types of eukaryotic cells, though it is absent in red blood cells and sperm.

    The Smart Cell Live‑Cell Endoplasmic Reticulum Staining Kit is an ER‑staining kit manufactured by Shanghai Liji Biotechnology. For live‑cell imaging of the endoplasmic reticulum (ER), EZ ER Green serves as the ER‑specific fluorescent probe. EZ ER Green is a cell‑permeable fluorescent dye that exhibits high selectivity for the ER, selectively binding to the ER in most cell types (though in certain cell types, EZ ER Green may not bind to the ER with full selectivity). EZ ER Green shares essentially identical spectral properties with FITC and can be used directly with standard FITC filter sets.
