Product Description
Paenibacillus Rid, an EZ‑type Bacillus remover, contains an antibacterial complex as its primary active ingredient. It is specifically designed to eliminate Paenibacillus contamination in cell cultures. Paenibacillus species are rod‑shaped, Gram‑positive, Gram‑negative, or variable in staining, and exhibit peritrichous flagellation for motility. When a culture becomes contaminated with Paenibacillus, microscopic examination reveals small, rod‑shaped, motile organisms. These bacteria display strong resistance to penicillins, kanamycin, chloramphenicol, ampicillin, tetracycline, streptomycin, and other antibiotics, making them difficult to eradicate. Moreover, they proliferate rapidly, competing with the host cells for nutrients; consequently, the culture medium may remain clear for a short period.
This product exhibits strong inhibitory and eliminatory effects against Bacillus species, helping to prevent contamination and rescue valuable cells, thereby saving manpower and resources, reducing unnecessary expenses, and ensuring the smooth continuation of research activities. EZ Paenibacillus Rid can eliminate most bacterial contaminants without harming the cells themselves. It has undergone cytotoxicity testing in over a hundred cell lines, including mouse embryonic stem cells and iPS cells, human embryonic stem cells and iPS cells, HEK293, HeLa, HepG2, HCT116, COS‑7, Vero, Huh‑7, MDCK, PANC‑1, SW620, U2OS, MCF‑7, MRC‑5, NIH‑3T3, CCC‑ESF, CHO‑S, CHO‑K1, CHO‑DG44, H295R, HL60, K562, MDA‑MB‑231, SP20, T47D, BM, and BV2, with no observed adverse effects.
