Product Description
The Golgi apparatus is a network of vesicles and folded membranes within the cytoplasm of most eukaryotic cells, involved in secretion and intracellular transport. It modifies proteins and lipids synthesized in the endoplasmic reticulum (ER) and prepares them for export outside the cell. It also plays a crucial role in the intracellular trafficking of lipids and in the formation of lysosomes.
The Smart Cell TMR Ceramide Golgi Staining Kit provides a simple, rapid method for labeling the Golgi apparatus with red fluorescence in living cells. The Golgi is stained through the formation of corresponding fluorescent metabolites. This kit offers an optimized assay that enables visualization of Golgi morphology by fluorescence microscopy.
