Product Description
L929 (Chinese name: mouse fibroblast) is a clonal derivative of cell line L, which was established in March 1948. Cell line L is one of the earliest continuously cultured cell lines, and L929 represents its earliest clone. The parental cell line L was derived from the loose connective tissue beneath the skin of a 100-day-old male C3H/An mouse, with adipose tissue serving as the source. At the 95th passage, L929 was generated by isolating single cells using the capillary method. The cells exhibit a typical fibroblast-like morphology and grow adherently. Species: mouse; Cell type: spontaneously immortalized.
