Product Description
BEAS-2B (Chinese name: human bronchial epithelial cells) is a cell line derived from a normal human bronchial epithelial tissue section obtained from a non‑cancerous individual. These cells were infected with an adenovirus–SV40 hybrid virus and subsequently cloned. BEAS-2B cells retain the capacity for squamous differentiation in response to serum, making them suitable for screening chemical or biological agents that can induce or modulate differentiation and carcinogenesis. The cells are positive for cytokeratin and SV40 antigen staining.
The cells exhibit a typical epithelial morphology and grow adherently. Species: Human; Cell type: Transformed cell line.
