Product Description
Single‑component TMB chromogenic solution (ultra‑sensitive) employs the latest single‑solution TMB development technology, utilizing horseradish peroxidase (HRP) to catalyze TMB color development and delivering low background and high sensitivity for assays such as ELISA. TMB (3,3′,5,5′‑tetramethylbenzidine) is a widely used substrate for HRP; under the catalysis of HRP or other suitable peroxidases, TMB yields a soluble blue product, with absorbance typically measurable at 370 nm or in the 620–650 nm range. Following the color development reaction, the reaction can be terminated by adding either a TMB stop solution (450 nm) or a TMB stop solution (650 nm). After treatment with the 450 nm stop solution or sulfuric acid, the solution turns yellow and its absorbance can be measured at 450 nm; when using the 650 nm stop solution, the solution remains blue, allowing absorbance to be measured in the 620–650 nm range.
This color-developing solution is a ready-to-use, single-component formulation that requires no additional reagents such as hydrogen peroxide, thereby simplifying the procedure and addressing the issues associated with conventional multi‑component TMB substrates—namely, precipitation and unstable assay results. While streamlining the workflow, it also ensures the stability and reliability of the assay outcomes. It is suitable for assays with a development time of 2–15 minutes.
