    The PicoGreen dsDNA Quantitation Kit differs from conventional absorbance‑based assays in that it can distinguish between dsDNA, ssDNA, and RNA, selectively detecting only dsDNA (see Figure 1). The kit comprises three components: the PicoGreen High Sensitivity dsDNA Quantitation Buffer, an Enhancer solution, and pre‑diluted dsDNA standards. It enables quantification of 0.2–100 ng of dsDNA in a 200 µL reaction volume (see Figure 2).

    Compared with conventional DNA quantification methods, this kit offers advantages such as a broad detection range, high sensitivity, and high specificity. It minimizes the interference from other contaminants and is tolerant of common impurities, including proteins, salts, organic solvents, and detergents (see Table 1). Furthermore, this kit does not penetrate cell membranes and exhibits no cytotoxicity or mutagenic potential, making it safe for human use.
