  • Product Description

    PMSF, or phenylmethanesulfonyl fluoride, has the molecular formula C7H7FO2S. It strongly inhibits serine proteases (such as trypsin, chymotrypsin, and thrombin) and thiol proteases (such as papain), making it a commonly used protease inhibitor with an effective concentration of 0.1–1 mM. PMSF has a half-life of approximately 30 minutes; if sample processing exceeds 1 hour, an additional aliquot may be added.
