Product Description
During tissue or cell lysis, large amounts of endogenous protein phosphatases are released, which catalyze the dephosphorylation of phosphorylated proteins through various mechanisms, leading to alterations that differ from normal physiological conditions. Therefore, in post‑lysis assays such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation for detecting phosphorylated proteins, and measurement of protein kinase activity, it is standard practice to add exogenous protein phosphatase inhibitors to prevent the dephosphorylation of phosphorylated proteins and maintain their phosphorylated state. This product is a mixture of four phosphatase inhibitors that effectively inhibit serine/threonine phosphatases, protein tyrosine phosphatases, as well as acid and alkaline phosphatases. It is suitable for Western blotting, immunoprecipitation assays targeting phosphorylated proteins, and assays for measuring protein kinase activity, among others.

Q: Does the formation of precipitate have any effect?
A: Low-temperature precipitation of salt ions does not affect usability; you can gently warm the sample in a 37°C water bath. If the precipitate remains insoluble after the water bath, simply use the supernatant.
Q: Which phosphatases can it inhibit?
A: Acidic, alkaline, and tyrosine phosphatases.
