    6-FAM, SE is a fluorescent reagent used for labeling nucleotides; it is the amine-reactive succinimidyl ester of the monoisomeric 6-FAM acid. It is one of the most widely used green fluorescent labels for tagging nucleotides and nucleic acids. Compared with 5-FAM, 6-FAM is less commonly employed in the synthesis of small molecules.
