Product Description
A frozen-section embedding agent is a reagent used for rapid low-temperature embedding of biological tissues. It solidifies quickly at relatively low temperatures, with a freezing rate and a degree of firmness and flexibility that closely resemble those of tissue cells, thereby providing stable support for the subsequent preparation of frozen tissue sections, enhancing section continuity and reducing folding and fragmentation.
This product is composed primarily of polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, a colorant, and purified water. It is used for embedding ex vivo lesion tissues; the embedded tissues can then be subjected to subsequent pathological analysis.
