Product Description
Transfection‑specific serum‑reduced medium is a unique formulation containing insulin, transferrin, hypoxanthine, thymidine, and trace elements. It enables at least a 50% reduction in fetal bovine serum (FBS) supplementation while maintaining normal cell growth rates and morphology. This medium exhibits broad compatibility and is suitable for a variety of suspension‑ and adherent‑type mammalian cells, including Sp2, AE‑1, CHO, BHK‑21, HEK, and primary fibroblasts. It is especially recommended for use with transfection reagents such as EZ Trans Cell Transfection Reagent and Lipofectamine™ 2000; it can serve directly as a diluent for both the transfection reagent and nucleic acids, helping to mitigate reagent toxicity and enhance transfection efficiency.
