  • Product Description

    Penicillin–Streptomycin–Gentamicin Solution (100×) is a triple‑antibiotic formulation specifically designed for cell culture. It has been sterilized by 0.1 µm filtration and can be directly added to cell culture media. Penicillin, a β‑lactam antibiotic, disrupts bacterial cell wall synthesis and is effective against Gram‑positive bacteria. Streptomycin and gentamicin, both aminoglycoside antibiotics, bind to the 30S ribosomal subunit of bacteria, inhibiting protein synthesis; additionally, gentamicin exhibits activity against certain mycoplasma contaminants.

    This product is prepared using water for injection and sterilized by 0.1 μm filtration. Recommended working concentrations (this product is suggested to be diluted 100-fold): penicillin, 100 U/mL; streptomycin, 0.1 mg/mL; gentamicin, 50 μg/mL.
