Product Description
Ampicillin (Amp), also known as ampicillin or ampicillin, is a β-lactam antibiotic that inhibits cell wall synthesis by disrupting the cross-linking of peptidoglycan. It belongs to the aminopenicillin class. Clinically, ampicillin is widely used to treat various bacterial infections and is a classic antibiotic. It is also frequently employed in molecular biology experiments, such as preparing LB medium or LB agar plates supplemented with ampicillin.
This product is sterile-filtered; the typical working concentration is 50–100 μg/mL, with 20 μg/mL commonly used for high‑copy plasmids and 60 μg/mL for low‑copy plasmids.
