Product Description
Ciprofloxacin is a highly effective broad-spectrum antibiotic, with CAS number 85721-33-1 and a molecular weight of 331.35 g/mol. It exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase, thereby blocking bacterial replication and rapidly reducing bacterial proliferation; it is a bactericidal agent. Unlike other quinolones, ciprofloxacin employs a distinct mechanism of action and exhibits potent activity against strains resistant to penicillins, cephalosporins, aminoglycosides, and tetracyclines. Clinically, it demonstrates antibacterial activity against Enterobacteriaceae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Haemophilus influenzae, Neisseria gonorrhoeae, streptococci, Legionella, and Staphylococcus aureus.
This product is a sterile solution prepared by dissolving ciprofloxacin hydrochloride. It exhibits broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and demonstrates excellent bactericidal efficacy, with in vitro bactericidal activity against nearly all common bacteria.
