    Antifade mounting medium (containing DAPI) is a reagent that slows down fluorescence quenching and is compatible with most fluorescent dyes. It is easy to use and is recommended for fixed, permeabilized cells or tissues. After imaging, the edges of the coverslip can be sealed with nail polish or sealing compound. The DAPI‑containing antifade mountant also allows direct nuclear staining.
