Product Description
Yuan Cai The Pre-stained Protein Marker (10–180 kDa) comprises ten highly purified, pre-stained recombinant proteins (10, 15, 25, 35, 40, 55, 70, 100, 130, and 180 kDa). The 70- and 25-kDa bands are orange, the 10-kDa band is green, and the remaining bands are blue, making this marker ideal for use as a protein molecular-weight standard in SDS-PAGE and Western blotting.
This product does not contain His. It can be used directly, without boiling, dilution, or the addition of a reducing agent. Depending on the size of the sample well, load 3–5 μL per lane to obtain very clear protein bands during electrophoresis, after electrophoresis, and following transfer to the membrane.

Q: Common causes of marker overexposure and how to address them:
Answer: 1. The target protein in the sample is present at a low concentration, resulting in a weak signal. Prolonging the exposure to visualize the bands can cause overexposure of the marker region. Consider increasing the sample loading amount or optimizing the antibody incubation conditions. Alternatively, perform multiple exposures with shorter exposure times for the marker region.
2. Non-specific binding can lead to increased background signal, potentially due to insufficient blocking or an inadequate antibody dilution factor, which may result in non-specific signals—typically from the secondary antibody—causing the entire marker region to appear dark.
3. The loading amount of the marker is too high. You can reduce the loading volume, or dilute the marker fivefold with 30% glycerol.
4. Excessive substrate sensitivity: ECL substrate hypersensitivity can amplify background signals, leading to overexposure of the marker. Consider using a lower‑sensitivity substrate or shortening the incubation time accordingly.
Q: The protein marker shows faint smearing, which becomes more pronounced as the loading volume increases. Why is this?
A: The Yuancai Protein Marker is formulated at a relatively high concentration. If the aforementioned issues occur, you can resolve them by appropriately reducing the sample loading amount.
