Product Description
Dulbecco's The modified culture medium—DMEM (Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium)—was developed on the basis of MEM. Compared with MEM, DMEM contains twice as many amino acids and four times as many vitamins, and it also includes non-essential amino acids, trace amounts of iron ions, and sodium pyruvate.
DMEM The medium was initially formulated with a glucose concentration of 1,000 mg/L (low-glucose type), and later developed into a version containing 4,500 mg/L (high-glucose type). It is now widely used for the cultivation of various cell types. DMEM without glucose allows researchers to freely adjust the glucose concentration according to experimental requirements, offering convenience and flexibility.
