Product Description
α‑MEM is an improved version of MEM medium. Compared with standard MEM, α‑MEM is more nutritionally rich and includes additional components such as NEAA, sodium pyruvate, zinc sulfate, vitamin B12, biotin, and ascorbic acid. It is widely used for the culture of various mammalian suspension and adherent cells. α‑MEM medium, which does not contain nucleosides or deoxynucleosides, is often employed as a selection medium for DG44 and other DHFR‑deficient cell lines.
This product contains a variety of components essential for cell culture, including amino acids, vitamins, and inorganic salts; however, it does not contain proteins, lipids, or any growth factors and must be used in combination with serum or serum‑free supplements.
