Product Description
In the in vitro culture of tissue cells and in primary cell cultures, both the dissociation of tissue fragments into single-cell suspensions and the enzymatic dissociation of adherent cells during passaging require the use of tissue‑cell digestion solutions. Commonly used digestions include trypsin–EDTA, whose primary function is to hydrolyze intercellular proteins—such as extracellular matrix components—thereby dispersing tissues or adherent cells into single cells and generating a cell suspension for downstream experiments. This product contains 0.25% trypsin, is free of EDTA and phenol red, and is formulated in a calcium‑ and magnesium‑free balanced salt solution. After sterile filtration, it can be used directly for the digestion of cultured cells and tissues, offering convenience, speed, stability, and safety while maintaining excellent cell viability. Typically, at room temperature, a digestion time of about 2 minutes is sufficient to detach most adherent cells.
