Product Description
NCI-H661 (Chinese name: human lung cancer cell line), derived from the lymph nodes of a 43-year-old Caucasian male with large-cell lung carcinoma; NCI-H661 cells lack both the ultrastructural and biochemical evidence of mucin production and squamous differentiation. p53 mRNA expression in NCI-H661 cells is readily detectable, significantly exceeding levels observed in normal lung cells, while no global structural DNA abnormalities are evident—suggesting the presence of point mutations or minor genomic alterations. Immunostaining reveals positive staining for cytokeratins and vimentin, with negative staining for neurofilament proteins.
The cells exhibit a typical epithelial morphology and grow adherently. Species: Human; Cell type: Tumor. Cell; tissue origin: lung; tumor type: lung cancer cell.
